Jilly Bond has been an actress for over 25 years, working in theatres around the country – Bath Theatre Royal, Coventry Belgrade, Bristol Old Vic, Bolton Octagon, King’s Glasgow, Plymouth Theatre Royal and the Tobacco Factory, Bristol – and in London at the Arts, Young Vic, Royal Court, Southwark Playhouse and Jermyn Street. She is also a theatre producer with Tangent Theatre Company. She has recorded over 100 radio plays for the BBC, including “The Barchester Chronicles” and appearances in “The Archers”; recently she has been heard in the “Woman’s Hour” serials “Degrees of Separation: Empty Nest”, “Falco” and “Wives and Daughters” Her television appearances include “Judge John Deed” and “Doctors”; she played Gertrude in a film of “Hamlet”. She has recorded over 120 audiobooks, winning two Earphones Awards in the USA and lives in rural Oxfordshire.
